Message from the Correspondent
Welcome to Chavara Vidya Bhavan, an institution inspired by the vision and values of St. Kuriakose Elias Chavara, the great educator, social reformer, and founder of the CMI Congregation. He firmly believed that education is the most effective means of empowering individuals, strengthening families, and transforming society. His pioneering efforts ushered in a new era of education in Kerala, making learning accessible to all and laying the foundation for a culture of enlightenment and social progress.
At Chavara Vidya Bhavan, we strive to carry forward this rich legacy through our commitment to the holistic development of every child entrusted to our care. Education, for us, is not merely the acquisition of knowledge but the formation of character, values, and a sense of purpose. We seek to nurture young minds and hearts so that our students grow into responsible, compassionate, and confident individuals who can make meaningful contributions to society.
Our motto, “Discipline, Discernment, and Decision,” reflects the values that guide our educational mission. We believe that discipline provides the foundation for growth, discernment helps one recognize truth and goodness, and wise decisions shape a meaningful and successful life. These principles remain at the heart of all our academic, co-curricular, and value-based formation programs.

As the CMI Congregation journeys toward its Bicentennial in 2031 under the inspiring theme, “Grace-Filled Presence for a Transformed World,” we renew our commitment to forming young men and women who are academically competent, morally upright, socially responsible, and spiritually rooted. In an age of rapid change and unprecedented challenges, we aspire to be a nurturing community that equips students not only for professional success but also for lives of service, leadership, and integrity.
This academic year 2026-2027 holds special significance for us as Chavara Vidya Bhavan celebrates its Ruby Jubilee, a milestone that invites us to remember with gratitude the blessings of the past, to celebrate the achievements of the present, and to look to the future with renewed hope and determination. We remain deeply grateful to our management, staff, students, parents, alumni, and well-wishers whose dedication and support have made this journey possible.
